INTRODUCTION

Army General Analysis PART 1A, reviewing In-City Defense (Main Wall) Lead PvP Generals (for Battlefield, KE, SvS and/or Purge).

Note: There are DIFFERENT In-City Defense (Main Wall) Generals for PEACE-TIME that are covered in Part 11.

Takenaka Shigeharu is much, much stronger than the other Army Generals in this category, so it's making the rankings a bit wonky.

In-City Defense (Main Wall) Army General Troop Specialties

  • Anti-Ground (Mounted Focused) Lead Generals: Queen Boudica, Yi Sun-sin, and Jadwiga

  • Anti-Ranged (Ground Focused) Generals: Leonidas I, Lautaro, Oda Oichi, Robert the Bruce, James Bowie, and Shajar al-Durr.

  • Anti-Mounted (Ranged Focused) Generals: Yodo-dono, Zachary Taylor, George Dewey, Kusunoki Masashige, and Ly Thuong Kiet

  • Anti-Siege (Siege Focused) Generals: Takenaka Shigeharu, Leo III, William Marshal, Richard the Lionheart, Gustavus Adolphus, and Raged King

ATTRIBUTE METHODOLOGY - v4.1.1

Attribute Ranking Methodology

The EvonyAnswers (EvAns) Attribute Ranking System will tend to favor Offense (Attack & March Size) over Toughness (HP & Defense). It also tends to favor Army Generals with good Enemy Debuffs.

There's a multiplier for each Attribute to achieve the approximate Score Weightings listed below. All the multipliers are applied the same way to all Army General Attributes in each specific category.

Attribute Categories:

  • Basic Attributes Score - Leadership, Attack, Defense, & Politics.

  • Base Skill Score - Also known as the "Built-In" Skill Score.

  • Four (4) Skill Books - For the Lead General's Best Four (4) Possible Skill Books.

  • Specialties Score - As appropriate for that Specific Ranking, i.e. 4-Yellow, 3-Orange, 3-Purple, etc.)

  • Ascending Enhancement Score - only added for the Ascending Enhancement Rankings.

Please check out the article below for a more detailed explanation:

  3. Defending Defense

    1. All Troop Defense Increase: +40% (+281% w/ Basic Attribute)

    2. Single Troop Defense Increase: +10%

20. Gustavus Adolphus - Grade: D+ (59.4% - 747) – Not specifically a Main Wall Army General, but has Skills and Specialties that make him a reasonable temporary choice if nothing better is available. He’s a reasonable PvP option, but probably not a good permanent solution because his 4th Specialty will NOT work when he’s an In-City Defense (Main Wall) General.

  • Specialist Against: All types of enemy attacks, but strongest against Enemy Siege and Mounted Attacks.

  • Conflict Group: DF9

  • Dragon: Not Required

  • Covenant: No

  • Acquisition: Relatively EASY (at Tavern Level 27 and above), probably the 9th best option available in the Tavern.

  • Culture: Europe

  • Expertise: Mixed Troops (Currently No Category in Senate)

  • Introduced: Unknown (before January, 2018)

  • Recommended Specialty Level: None, he’s not worth investing Runestones because there are superior choices available in the Tavern and as Relic Chamber Rewards.

In-City Defense (Main Wall) Buffs:

  1. Defending Attack

    1. All Troop Attack Increase: +0% (+244% w/ Basic Attribute)

    2. Single Troop Attack Increase: +152% (+202% w/ Skill Book)

  2. Defending HP

    1. All Troop HP Increase: +0% (+248% w/ Basic Attribute)

    2. Single Troop HP Increase: +82%

  3. Defending Defense

    1. All Troop Defense Increase: +0% (+230% w/ Basic Attribute)

    2. Single Troop Defense Increase: +10%

21. Raged King - Grade: D+ (55.4% - 697) - It seems like he’s more of a prize for the General’s Gallery I in the Art Hall.

  • Specialist Against: All types of enemy attacks, but strongest against Enemy Siege and Mounted Attacks.

  • Conflict Group: NG

  • Dragon: Not Required

  • Covenant: No

  • Acquisition: EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, he’s only available on the Wheel of Fortune, and the odds of getting him are about 1 in 100,000 spins.

  • Culture: Other

  • Expertise: Mixed Troops (Currently No Category in Senate)

  • Introduced: Unknown (before January, 2018)

  • Recommended Specialty Level: None, he’s not worth investing Runestones because there are superior choices available in the Tavern and as Relic Chamber Rewards.

In-City Defense (Main Wall) Buffs:

  1. Defending Attack

    1. All Troop Attack Increase: +20% (+255% w/ Basic Attribute)

    2. Single Troop Attack Increase: +65% (+115% w/ Skill Book)

  2. Defending HP

    1. All Troop HP Increase: +0% (+244% w/ Basic Attribute)

    2. Single Troop HP Increase: +45%

  3. Defending Defense

    1. All Troop Defense Increase: +0% (+226% w/ Basic Attribute)

DRAGON

Dragon for In-City Defense (Main Wall) General

Whenever possible, Dragons should be placed on PvP Generals (mostly because I hate moving Dragons). VERY few players have five (5) Dragons, so the Dragons should assigned per the following:

  1. Ranged PvP - Celtic Demon (1st Dragon - Red) or upgrade to Ladon (6th Dragon - Turquoise)

  2. Mounted PvP - Fafnir (2nd Dragon - Purple) or upgrade to Nidhogg (5th Dragon - Dark Blue)

  3. In-City Defense (Main Wall) - Dragon of Thebes (4th Dragon - Gold)

  4. Ground PvP - Norway Ridge (3rd Dragon - Light Blue) or upgrade to Amaterasu (7th Dragon - White)

  5. Siege PvP - Fafnir (2nd Dragon - Purple) or upgrade to Colchian (8th Dragon - Green)

  6. Mounted PvM for Pushing - Fafnir (2nd Dragon - Purple)

  7. Subordinate City Battle (PvP) - Norway Ridge (3rd Dragon - Light Blue)

The Dragon of Thebes (4th Dragon - Gold) is typically assigned to the In-City Defense (Main Wall) General because it offers extra In-City Troop Bonuses. Currently, Dragon of Thebes is the only Dragon focusing on the In-City Defense (Main Wall) Buffs.

Sorry, I didn’t see this sooner, I was super busy last week.

I’d recommend Siege Range Bonus, and Ranged Range Bonus. Ranged Attack Increase would also work Instead of Ranged Range Bonus.

She is middle of the pack, #11 out of 17. I would not recommend anyone use her for more than temporary option until something better is available.
