Materials Required for Ascending Enhancements
The good news for free and light spending players is that it could take even Heavy Spenders months or even years to complete the Ascending Enhancement Upgrades for one (1) of the primary six (6) Army Generals.
The following items are required to activate all of an Army General's Ascending Enhancements:

BLOOD OF ARES
Blood of Ares Acquisition
764 Blood of Ares were received during the twelve (12) days of the 2022 Children's Day Event, when spending $75-85 US per day. At that rate it would take, six (6) special events or about 12 weeks (3 months), and spending over $6,000 to accumulate enough Blood of Ares to get one (1) Army General to ten (10) Stars (full activation of all Ascending Enhancements, or what Evony refers too as "Awakened"). Once that happens the General's Name and Image Frame turns from gold to red.
During the 2022 Midsummer Event Blood of Ares were not available in purchased Event Packages. However, new ways to get up to seven (7) Blood of Ares per day were added to the game:
